We were absolutely delighted that this week, ISM students took part for the first time in the “Graine d’Entrepreneur” initiative being held throughout a number of Monaco schools.

The purpose of the event was to introduce our students to entrepreneurship. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, a number of notable business leaders and entrepreneurs take on the role of ‘mentors’ for a day, passing on their professional experience to students to create a virtual project (a company, an event, an association etc). The event is held in the form of a ‘competition’ between different groups of 4 to 7 students.

Each group is accompanied by volunteer mentors, recruited by JCI Monaco, whose aim is to support and guide the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. During the all-day event, students learn how to analyse their ideas, create a business plan and pitch their project to a panel of judges. The winning group will represent ISM at the grand finale on 28 November 2023 at the Espace Léo Ferré.

Many thanks to Ms Tania Leyland, our IBCP Coordinator, for organising and coordinating this event from a school perspective and for bringing this incredible opportunity to our students. Well done to all participants!
