This week was ISM’s annual Book Week, with the theme of poetry, and we were very pleased to (virtually) welcome two well-known authors and poets to the school.

To kick off Book Week on Monday, Early Years and Primary students were treated to an interactive poetry workshop with writer – illustrator – poet Chris White, while Lower Secondary students had an online poetry session with poet Harry Baker.

Book Week featured an array of fun activities throughout the school, including a House poetry competition, a poetry readathon, book charades, a Who’s Hiding Behind The Book competition, and special celebrations in honour of World Book Day on Thursday, March 3rd, where all Early Years and Primary School students could come to school dressed as a favourite book character! Thank you to everyone, especially our dedicated librarians, who helped make this year’s Book Week a success yet again!
