This week, our International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) students had the opportunity to meet with an expert in the fashion industry, Mr Nicholas King (Director / Buyer at Monaco Marine – Merci la mer), who provided words of wisdom, experience and advice to students interested in starting a career in fashion.

With a background in design and subsequent years spent both designing, developing and marketing products, as well as experience in developing a start-up business, Mr King reminded students of the necessity of producing a business plan, setting your price right within the market and identifying suppliers that fit your brand ethos. This advice was particularly pertinent for our IBCP students, who are in the early stages of launching their fledgling enterprises, three of which will operate in the realm of clothing and fashion. Thank you, Mr King, for your time and insight!
