Head of Wellbeing's Welcome

Dear Parents,

A very warm welcome to ISM where we hope your children will have a long and enriching educational experience.

Our Pastoral care within ISM places students at the heart of the school, with an emphasis on values, character and a range of experiences to provide a well-balanced education. Our goal is to nurture happy, confident students.

It is important that each student knows they are valued as individuals, and that their academic success goes hand in hand with their emotional and physical wellbeing.

From Early Years through to Secondary School, our students have an integrated PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) curriculum in which they address topics such as relationship education, peer pressure, mental health, bullying,  and internet safety and awareness.

For parents,  we run regular workshops, drawing on external experts,  on a  range of Wellbeing matters,  such as internet safety, anti-bullying, responsible use of social media,  and substance abuse.

Our Wellbeing team includes two health coordinators who are available throughout the day. and a professional school counsellor, available to all students. All staff receive regular training in student Wellbeing and child safeguarding.

We encourage students to actively think about how they interact with others and how they take responsibility to build our happy, respectful community.

If you would like to discuss any Wellbeing matter, it would be a pleasure to hear from you.
