On November 23rd and 24th, the PTA held its annual Winter Market fundraising event at ISM.

The event featured an array of Christmas-themed items for sale, including toys, decorations, arts and crafts and food, as well as student carol performances and a visit from ISM’s own Santa Claus. Over the two days, an impressive amount was raised for the benefit of the Lenval Foundation – we look forward to announcing the final amount that was raised very soon!

The Lenval Foundation was created in 1888 and is the private non-profit manager of the eponymous pediatric university hospital, whose emergency department in Nice is the 3rd largest in France. There are nearly 60,000 visits per year. Today, the Lenval Foundation has 8 establishments spread over 20 sites in the Alpes-Maritimes, including medico-social centers, a nursery and a training institute.

The fundraising event was tremendously well attended across the two days. We were especially honoured to welcome Ms Raphaëlle Galante, Directrice Communication, Mécénat et Partenariats from Fondation Lenval.

The entire ISM community was mobilised in raising funds for this worthy cause – special thanks to Melissa Carr for her excellent work as the Winter Market Committee leader, Ms Karina Cheshinskaya for the photography, Marino and Louise Morelli for the ice cream, FNAC Monaco for the toys, Gloria Gianoglio from Queen of Brownies for the brownies, the Ferrero family for the chocolates, Ms Hind El Karout for the popcorn and cotton candy, Anouk from My Best Birthday for donating the Christmas decor, Muriel for the pottery, Carmen for the panettone, Early Years and Primary students who contributed their artwork for the poster and to all the parents who donated toys, Christmas decorations and baked goods!

Finally, we thank all PTA representatives, families, students and staff who took part in making this event such a success — your efforts have truly made a difference!
