100% pass rate and another 45/45

The International School of Monaco (ISM) is delighted to announce that its International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and Career-related programme results for 2025 were the best in its over thirty year history since its foundation, with 100% pass rate for both programmes compared to 81.3% and 76.3% respectively worldwide average for each programme.

ISM is very proud of the achievements of every member of the 2025 graduating class, with the students achieving an IBDP average point score of 36.7 which is 6.2 points above the official IB global average of 30.5, with both these references being the best in the history of the school. IBCP students also achieved excellent results in both their BTEC, with almost 60% of the results being at Distinction level and 91% being at Distinction or Merit level, and IB Diploma Courses, securing competitive university placements, such as Saint Louis, Luiss and The International University of Monaco (IUM).

There were 25 students who achieved an excellent 35 points or more in the IB Diploma Programme, meaning almost 90% of students achieved this very high benchmark, compared to a global average of approximately 30%.

There were 5 students who achieved a superb 40 points or more, in the IB Diploma Programme, meaning 17% of students achieved this exceptional result, which is almost double the global average of 9%.

One student, Etienne Franzi, a Monegasque citizen, achieved the perfect score of 45 out of 45, secured on average by only a few hundred students globally and usually less than 0.5 % of all students taking the IB Diploma. This achievement is even more impressive given that Etienne pursued the most challenging and demanding programme of study possible, including both French and English language and literature standard levels (first languages), securing the IB Bilingual Diploma, economics standard level, and higher level subjects in mathematics, chemistry and physics. With such outstanding results, Etienne easily secured his place at Imperial College, London, to study for engineering.

In addition, ISM is delighted that 96% of the graduating class achieved their first place university destination, with 100% achieving their first or second choice placement, with students confirming prestigious university places around the world, including Imperial College London, University College London, King’s College London, University of Durham, University of Edinburgh, University of Bath, University of Loughborough, University of Warwick, and University of St Andrews, among many others in the UK, and Columbia/ Tel Aviv, IE, Les Roches and Saint Louis globally.

Many congratulations to all our students and parents in the graduating class of 2025 and the entire ISM community on achieving these absolutely fantastic landmark results.
