ISM’s Director Mr Stuart Bryan had the pleasure of teaching all three Year 7 classes this week in preparation for their Year 7 visit next week to Provence, with an emphasis on Roman history.

Students were challenged through a simulation and role play activity to become Roman Emperors and imperial advisors and to try to manage the Empire in the face of the actual internal and external crises that caused the Empire to collapse.

The engagement of the students in the activity was fantastic, ensuring that they all truly appreciated the reasons for the collapse of the Roman Empire. We wish them a wonderful trip next week to the actual sites of Ancient Rome in Provence!
