The Class of 2019 celebrated the end of their studies with a wonderful Graduation Ceremony at the Hotel de Paris in Monaco, on June 14th, joined by over three hundred parents, friends, and ISM staff.

In early December a group of 11 girls from the Secondary School Philanthropy Club organised a visit to the Centre Maternel de Mont Boron in Nice.
The ISM boys from years 9 & 10 won 2 matches very convincingly against College Charles III 2nd team and FANB but were defeated by the Charles III 1st team and finished in 2nd place overall.
On Tuesday 27th of November 2018, ‘Stars and Bars’ hosted the first TedxMonteCarloSalon event. A TEDxSalon is smaller and more intimate than TED or TEDx events. They are interactive and encourage meaningful discussions amongst the presenters and the audience.

ISM students from the Sustainability/Philanthropy Clubs, staff and parents willingly gave up a Sunday in January to «Operation Beach Clean-up » in Menton.
Some of our most talented young pianists, along with their music teachers and one of our parents, performed a lovely evening of music just before winter break on a magnificent Steinway grand piano in front of an audience of over 100 people.

Over two busy days in October all of the Primary School and Class 7 students took part in some very lively African Drumming sessions with renowned percussionist Ayo Nelson-Homiah
We were recently honoured to welcome five leading scientists who made an exciting audio visual presentation to students from Classes 7-10 on the latest discoveries of the exploration vessel the M/V Yersin.
Despite the overcast day, ISM's third annual swimming gala at the heated open-air Olympic pool was a great success judging by the enthusiasm of the swimmers and the loud cheers of their supporters.
In a project initiated by Mr. James Caan C.B.E. of Dragon’s Den fame, students in Years 9, 10 and 12 were encouraged to work in teams to create innovative and exciting business ideas. They had to write their own business plans, including financials, marketing, predicted returns etc. and pitch their ideas to a team of judges who included Mr. Caan and four other members of the Monaco business community. Five teams made it to the final round, with ‘GlamScan’ being declared the winners in a closely fought contest.
Congratulation to the Class of 2017 for their excellent results in this year’s IB Diploma examinations, with a pass rate of 100 percent. Our 28 IB Diploma candidates achieved an average score of 34 points overall, well above the worldwide average for IB schools of around 29 points. Two students gained 41 points each: Constance who has been admitted to Yale University to major in economics and Caitlin who will study archeology at University College London.
For this year's Science Fair, Middle School students created an exciting display of imaginative and innovative ideas on the theme of ‘Solutions to Environmental Pollution’, of extreme importance for today’s younger generation, who will need to respond to the ever-growing environmental issues we now face.
And they’re off! On June 13th ISM said farewell to the thirty-three students of the Class of 2017 at a wonderful Graduation Ceremony held, for the first time ever, in the elegant Salle Garnier, followed by cocktails.
This year’s International Award Expedition was as successful as ever, with 27 students from classes 10 to 12 demonstrating excellent orientation skills, team spirit and determination during the challenging but enjoyable trek.
On Friday 7th April the Théâtre des Variétés was filled with music, dance, drama and poetry as part of the annual ISM Arts Festival.
The MS trip to Birmingham was a big success, with the group of 42 students enjoying the experience immensely.

On the 29th of February 2016, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre’s performers visited Monaco in the Columbus Hotel as part of their “Globe to Globe” goal of performing ‘Hamlet’ in every country in the world over two years.
Twenty-two Middle and Secondary students who attended the recent Global Citizen Forum in Monaco were able to put a question to former U N Secretary General, Mr Kofi Annan.
The Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2015 took place on June 24th, 2015 in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, who graciously presented the Diplomas and Special Prizes to the 32 students graduating this year.
ISM is delighted to announce exceptional results in this year’s IB Diploma examinations with a 100 percent pass rate, and an average score of 36.0 points overall. Special congratulations to Virginia Nizza with 44 points, Cynthia Cohen with 43 points and Julia Cournoyer with 41 points. William Masters, Yvonne Reilly, and Alexander Rostovtsev all gained 40 points.

Two bicycles hand decorated and painted by ISM students are to be auctioned for charity
Sports Day is one of the most fun events in the school calendar. A chance to get outside, get active and enjoy a little healthy competition, while building school spirit.
This March, The Big Bang Trip ran for its second year with the aim to inspire our budding scientists in the Middle School.
On September 19th 2014, in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the International School of Monaco celebrated its twentieth anniversary at a Fundraising Gala in the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco.
Eighteen students from Classes 10, 11 and 12 recently took part in the Model United Nations Conference at UNESCO in Paris, representing the countries of Estonia, Nepal and the Maldives.
ISM finished first in the schools category and eighth in the overall team category in this year’s “No Finish Line” charity event in Monaco.
Students are now very much enjoying the new sports grounds that were opened at the end of October. With a total area of 500 square metres, and set up for basketball, netball and other games, these new facilities directly in front of the school are a valuable addition to the space we already enjoy in Monaco Ville as well as the sports facilities that we share with other schools in the area. The funds for the new sports grounds were raised at the recent 20th Anniversary Gala and we are most grateful to those parents made generous donations for this very purpose, and to the Monegasque government who allocated to us the land.
