The International School of Monaco is seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced Head of Access and Inclusion, with high expectations of student academic achievement and well-being. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team of international teachers who are fully committed to bilingual and international education.

They will work to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all students to achieve their best, overcoming barriers to learning and participation including those related to: language competencies, academic functioning and behavioural/emotional needs.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a respected university
  • Recognised teaching status
  • Strong commitment to international and multilingual education.
  • Knowledge and experience of specific learning difficulties and programmes that support such learners.
  • Knowledge and experience of bilingual learning and teaching strategies, which support language acquisition and proficiency.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience and understanding of curriculum development for Learning Support lessons
  • Experience of Learning Support in both Primary and Secondary contexts

Advantageous to have:

  • Significant experience in a similar position
  • Experience in classroom observation and faculty appraisal.
  • A Masters Degree or further study related to Learning Support in Education contexts
  • Experience of timetable management for Learning Support teachers
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and reflexivity
