ISM Swimming Gala

Despite the overcast day, ISM's third annual swimming gala at the heated open-air Olympic pool was a great success judging by the enthusiasm of the swimmers and the loud cheers of their supporters.

Students from classes 5 to 10 represented their school community (AMIKO, NAKAMA, TAKODA, RAFIKI) in the 50m freestyle races.

This followed several weeks of pre-competition training, allowing the organisers to group students into seeded races, making each race competitive and stimulating. Students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, style and stamina and the improvement in technique since last year for many students was clear to see.
