Field Trip to Villefranche

Year 13 IB Geographers went on a trip to Villefranche-sur-Mer to collect data for their Internal Assessment. Students worked their way around six sites recording information about traffic, pedestrians, different types of land use, environmental quality, while surveying residents and tourists alike on whether the area is reaching its maximum capacity in relation to tourism.

Students used their language skills in both French and English to ask specific questions which was a huge advantage to understanding viewpoints of the local people.

They had a wonderful day in the sunshine and collected some excellent data that they can now use to answer their Internal Assessment question.

Thank you to Miss O'Neill who accompanied the trip.
