ISM was proud to once again host this year’s edition of the AFEC Tennis Championships, which saw three ISM student-athletes crowned champions for their categories!
The tournament, hosted by ISM in collaboration with the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), brought together young players from across the region for a weekend dedicated to high-level competition, learning, and the celebration of sport.
The finals were played at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, marked by intense skill and unwavering sportsmanship, and the awards ceremony included ATP-ranked No. 16 tennis star Alexander Bublik, who graciously presented the trophies and prizes to our outstanding finalists.
We extend a massive congratulations to all the athletes who competed, and especially to our ISM champions and runners-up:
- U13 Girls Champion: Mia
- U13 Girls Runner Up: Cecilia

- U13 Boys Runner Up: Tomofei

This year’s tournament was once again a true testament to the dedication of our students, the commitment of the coaches, and the incredible support from the crowd.
Inspiring the next generation of athletes
Beyond the competition, ISM was honoured to host the AFEC Educational Sessions, welcoming student-athletes from various schools. The sessions were designed to inspire and educate, featuring two truly motivational guest speakers:
- Joslyn Hoyte-Smith OLY MBE (Olympic medallist in athletics)
- Kristaps Zvejnieks OLY (Olympic alpine skier)
Both Olympians shared valuable insights and experiences from their careers, providing motivation and practical advice to the next generation of student-athletes.
Many thanks to all of our athletes, coaches, teachers, and organisers for a seamlessly executed and successful event filled with skill, sportsmanship, and school spirit!
