Arts

A range of music and art activities are on offer at ISM in addition to the music and drama programmes which form part of the curriculum.

For budding musicians, a variety of musical instrument lessons are available, with visiting specialist teachers. Currently we offer lessons in piano, guitar, violin, saxophone flute and percussion. Individual singing lessons are also available. Students may enter for the graded music exams of the Associated Board of the Royal Colleges of Music for which ISM is a recognized exam centre.  Recent results have been excellent with many students awarded Merits and Distinctions. There are two choirs and concerts take place several times a year where students can perform for their parents and friends.

Our students have also obtained Merits and Distinctions in the Public Speaking, Musical Theatre and Drama exams of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

This year we are also offering musical theatre and jazz dance in the Primary School, with a Media and Drama Group, and a  Contemporary Dance class in the Middle School.

A school-wide Talent Show takes place every year and is extremely popular with parents and students alike.

Lovers of art can join a Drawing Club in the Middle School, and there are also extra curricular classes in digital imaging and photography.
