Secondary Years

The Secondary Unit caters for students aged 15 - 18 (Classes 10 - 13). It builds on the high sense of community fostered in the Middle School, with increasing independence and subject choice. This is guided by a Year Leader at each level and a Careers Counsellor. Students undertake external as well as internal examinations, and are involved in opportunities such as work experience, Model United Nations and the International Youth Award, which take them into the world beyond the school.

In classes 10 and 11, the students complete the Middle Years Programme doing a Personal Project which is a culmination of their time spent in the Middle Years Programme. Students in class 11 have the opportunity to sit International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations in those subjects leading to Diploma entry. In class 12 students commence either the full IB Diploma or the ISM Diploma with IB Certificates, both of which may lead to university entrance following examinations at the end of class 13.
