Curriculum

The Early Years curriculum follows the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) where the central idea is to develop the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. Focusing on the developmental stages of these early years, our teachers plan a programme which helps the children to develop emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically.

The primary Years Programme (PYP)

Five essential elements of the written curriculum
Transdisciplinary approach to the curriculum
Transdisciplinary skills to be developped
Key concepts that are central to the philosophy of the PYP
Taking thoughtful and appropriate Action
Attitudes that students in a PYP school should demonstrate
Units Of Inquiry

The Units of Inquiry which incorporate all aspects of the curriculum, help children make sense of themselves, other people and of the physical environment. Physical Education, Creative Arts also have their place, giving a balanced enriched programme.
