GIVING TO ISM - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS« What will the funds be used for? » The funds will be used to buy everything from new desks and chairs, to music and sound equipment for our new Creative Arts Department, to microscopes , art materials, sports equipment and books. We also have a bursary fund to enable certain talented and deserving children to attend our school. « Can I offer to pay for specific items? » Yes! If you have something specific in mind, please specify on the form provided, or come and talk to us. « I already made a contribution to the Capital Development Fund, why should I contribute more? » Some of the students who have been with us the longest have benefited from what, in the early days, was a relatively small contribution to the Capital Development Fund. This has not been enough to cover the very substantial improvements, and purchase of new equipment that we are enjoying today. The two computer rooms, the Parnassus Library, many of the interactive whiteboards and the Assembly Hall equipment are just some of the areas which have been funded by donations. « How much should I give? My funds are limited » Our goal is that everyone connected with the school, parents, teachers, alumni and other friends, can feel involved. Many small donations soon amount to something very substantial, therefore even a small sum will be most gratefully received. « How will the funds be managed? » We are extremely fortunate in our Board of Trustees who have considerable experience between them in the banking, finance and legal sectors. Regular accounts wil be published as part of our Annual Financial Statement which is available for consultation by our parents in advance of the Annual General Assembly. A regular financial update will be available to all donors.
